I'm currently lead game designer at jvd games, creator of filmaculate grid and guitarist in the heartbeat generation.
I also have a career in Museums.
About Me
I'm a museum professional with ten years of collection management experience and a strong background in practical object handling and care.
I am passionate about using digital technology to streamline and improve collection processes and have created a number of bespoke software to aid with storage and object packing design.
What have I been up in 2023 and 2024?
First off I moved to Melbourne, Australia! Due to visa restrictions I decided to dive into software development and programming. I completed courses such as CS50x, CS50p, CS50sql and currently working through CS50web.
I also continued to support my puzzle game Super Puzzle Sudoku as well as designing filmaculategrid.com, a daily film trivia game.
I'm developing a new video game with the extremely talented HRAUGUR, ALL CLOWNS MUST DIE. Coming soon(ish)!
British Museum 2017-2023
I played a key role in collection management and logistics for the large scale Blythe House decant project, moving large collections to the new British Museum Archaeological Research Collection store. I created a number of bespoke Excel programs, using Excel's underlying programming language VBA. These were used to streamline packing processes as well as aiding storage design.
I worked on a number of large scale exhibitions, such as I am Ashurbanipal king of the world, king of assyria. I was also involved in Exploring the Maya world, a project in conjunction with Google arts and Culture.
Firepower: Royal Artillery Museum 2012-2017
Here I worked in a number of different roles, from museum operations, education and collection management. I played a key role in preparing the museums entire collection for movement to a new site.

Jonny vs Dinosaur Games
Ok, Ok, I get it, calling this a 'game studio' when it's just me here is a little optimistic. But hey maybe there will be more people around this thing someday!
Anyway, I've been getting deeper into game development for a number of years now. I actually even released a game (two if you count this abomination). Hopefully more to come sometime soon!

Super Puzzle Sudoku is a unique twist on classic sudoku. Instead of single numbers, you must use number filled puzzle shapes to complete the grid.
Contains over 200 levels across five different difficulty levels.

A brand new title being developed by Jonny vs Dinosaur Games in conjunction with the extremely talented artist HRAUGUR
A 2d roguelike twin joystick cooperative shooter where (you guessed it) all clowns must die.

Web Design
I've spent a lot of 2023 and 2024 delving into the world of web design, learning html, CSS and Javascript as well as python web frameworks such as Django and Flask.
Everything on this website was built by me! It's hosted using Github Pages. You can see all the code for yourself on Github.
A website for The Cultural Content Consumption Appraisal Hour Podcast, a podcast where each week two friends consume content pitched by each other and try and each others review scores for that content. All pitches, guesses and scores are detailed on the website along with some juicy stats!
Created using the python web framework Django with HTML templating and vanilla CSS and Javascript.
Filmaculate grid is a daily film trivia game I launched at the beginning of 2024. Created using html, CSS and Javascript using the Python web framework Flask. All grids are generated using the TMDB API.
How to Play
At the start of each row and column is an actor. Each grid square intersects with two actors that share a common film. Guess which film they starred in together, released in the year displayed!

The OG band formed in the 00's with my brother Chris, and good friends Thazi and Jeff. Decades worth of songs and gigs under our belt. A huge catalogue of songs, only a few of which have breached the surface. Always a chance of more to come. This is how we will never disppear.
